Shane Lynch

Shane, along with Ronan Keating, Mikey Graham, Keith Duffy and Stephen Gately, formed BOYZONE in 1993, and their very first single started the rise to superstar status in the UK as well as Europe, Asia, Latin America, Australia & New Zealand.

Between 1994 & 1998 their first, second and third albums all shot to number one in the UK. Their last album before taking a break was a compilation of their greatest hits and was also a massive success.

On returning to Boyzone in 2008 they exploded back on the scene with 36 sell out shows nationwide, followed by a hit single Love You Anyway & another hit album Back Again…No Matter What.

Boyzone had another sell out tour in 2009 & in 2010 the band released their new album Brother , which went straight to number 1.

Their TV special Boyzone: A Tribute to Stephen Gately was transmitted on ITV1, followed by the Brother Boyzone tour 2011.

BOYZONE celebrated their 20th Anniversary with a massive UK tour in November & December 2013 and released their latest album ‘BZ20’ at their new home at Warner Music.

20 years of music, 25 million record sales, 4 number one albums & 6 number one singles.


Shane is a keen motor racing enthusiast & in the late 90’s (for 15 years now), started participating in various types of motorsport such as British GT & Porsche Carrera Cup which supports the famous Formula 1 championship. Shane is currently also competing in BDC, the IDC & King of Europe drifting for his team, performance parts manufacturer Japspeed, driving the Monster Energy Maxxis Tyres Nissan S15. Shane also drives for the well known global TV show Top Gear at their live events & shows around the world.


Shane was a contestant on ‘The Games ‘ (Channel 4 and E4) in April 2004 where he came first and he then became a regular on ‘Dream Team’ for Sky 1 playing the part of millionaire entrepreneur Eli Knox. Shane returned to ‘The Games’ in March 2006 to compete in The Champions of Champions and was also one of the participants in ‘Love Island’ for ITV in July 2006.

Shane was also on series 2 of Cirque de Celebrite, a priority show for Sky 1 towards the end of 2007. Shane has also been on the very successful TV show The All Ireland Talent Show (on RTE) as a judge and returned for the second series of the show in 2010.

He took part in an interview about his life on the Jeremy Kyle Celebrity Special and also competed in a series of Celebrity Masterchef on BBC1 where he reached the semi-final.

Shane is a regular on shows such as Good Morning Britain (ITV1), Lorraine (ITV1), This Morning (ITV1) and Loose Women (ITV1).

Over the years he’s also been on shows such as Celebrity Weakest Link (BBC), Dales Supermarket Sweep (ITV1), 5th Gear (Channel 5),Celebrity Chase (ITV1), The Jonathan Ross Show (ITV1), Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV1), Mr & Mrs (ITV1), Family Fortunes (ITV1), Big Star’s Little Star (ITV1), Big Brother’s Bit On The Side (Channel 5), Children in Need (BBC1 & BBC2).

Most recently he was featured on Fern Britton Meets…Shane Lynch on BBC1 which was an hour long show documenting his personal life and his rise to fame as a member of Boyzone.


In 2008, Shane published his autobiography The Chancer. His sisters, twins Keavy and Edele Lynch, found fame as members of the girl group B*Witched, which became the first group to replace members of their own family at number one in the charts. Younger sister, Naomi, was part of the duo Buffalo G, and another sister, Tara, was a member of FAB!

‘Shane & Sheena: A Boyz Own Wedding’ (a two part TV show documenting the lead up to and also the wedding itself of Shane & his then fiancé Sheena), was commissioned by RTE. It proved to be a great success receiving a significant share of the Irish TV audience.

In 2013 Shane did a documentary on Dyslexia for channel 5’s Secret Past series to critical acclaim.

Over the past 15 years or so, Shane has done regular exclusives with the celebrity magazines such as Ok!, Hello! & VIP Magazine. For example, In 2013, he did an exclusive shoot with OK! Magazine to celebrate the birth of his new baby girl Marley-Mae, with his wife Sheena and daughter Billy-Rae.


Over the last few years, hard working Shane has turned businessman, getting involved in:

‘Prestige Customs’ –

A company based in London which takes the world’s greatest cars & customises them to the customer’s request, for example building European fleet promo trucks for Monster Energy.

‘Ver2 Vodka’ – The UK’s first energy vodka, consisting of caffeine & guarana. Ver2 Vodka has gained significant media exposure since its launch and is expanding into other territories such as Europe & the Middle East.

Shane in conjunction with London based Fragrance & Toiletries International Limited launched his own fragrance & men’s grooming range, ‘LYNCH’ in October 2013.

The LYNCH brand is looking to expand in the foreseeable future.
